Five arrested for transporting 2,200 kg of illegal beef to Goa!
Police have arrested five accused who were illegally transporting beef to Goa.
Five accused, Alnawar-based Sadiq, Ilyas, Davalamaleek, Khanapur-based Shahid and Rajasab, were arrested along with the Mahendra pickup vehicle. A case has been registered in Ramnagar police station of Zoida taluk.
3,10,800 Rs. Beef worth 2,220 kg has been seized. It was seized near Anamode Checkpost in Zoida Taluk of Uttara Kannada District.
Ramnagar PSI Yallalinga Kunnoor and police station staff conducted an operation on the information received by the special team of Uttara Kannada District Superintendent of Police about 2,200 kg of beef being illegally transported to Goa from Hubli in two Mahindra Bullero pickups and one Tata 407 vehicle.
